Procovery Quote of the Week

Dec 2007 Missouri Procovery Events

To all of the amazing Procovery people in MO!

Well!! We are both surprised by and appreciative of the interest expressed by folks in Missouri in hosting a Procovery Community-Building Event. December is already such a busy, over-scheduled month for so many, and that you would all so quickly and willingly add MORE WORK to your already overloaded plate(s), reminded us why we committed to bringing Procovery to MO, in the first place!!
We approved Community-Building Events for attendance of over 850 people across Missouri in December. For information on individual events, please see below.

Folks in MO were the first to hear our THREE new songs. Others won’t likely hear the song before next May!!! We have—

Hope is the Thing -- a beautiful, inspiring, compelling song of hope that incorporates many of the program components you tell us you like. Wait until you hear the cello on this. And many of you write and tell us you begin and end each day with page 77 of the Procovery book. Those of you who LOVE page 77, will hopefully, LOVE this song.

Would you Rather? -- this song is so much fun. It is our first very light, absolutely fun, hand clapping, foot stomping song, and our first country song, unless you want to include Dawn and Adrianne obliging our request to sing “9 to 5” in St. Louis and Kansas City in August of ’06!!

Believe-- This song is our new Procovery program anthem. If we were seeking to market Procovery (we aren’t, we are still almost exclusively focusing on MO, to “get it right” there before expansion, and we are already turning people away) we would send this song out to every radio station in LA. And besides word of mouth, that is all we would have to do. Wait until you hear it!!!

Every person who signed up for and was approved by the listed contact person for most of the events below was able to receive a courtesy “6 Songs of Procovery” CD of all 3 new songs as well as our first 3 songs (Just Start Anywhere, I am Rising, and Something You Said), and our new poster, Uncovering Hope.

Please note: we want to get it on the record (so to speak), that Procovery songs are NOT a standard component of our program in MO. This means that while at times we do provide courtesy copies of the music, this is the exception and not the norm. (One day, when the whole world knows about Procovery and we are broadly funded, that may change, but for now…) Also, please note that any copying of CDs is not only in direct violation of program fidelity but also the law. While we do not encourage sales (as we are a small organization with a huge mission, and would rather spend our time right now completing our universal materials and technology) we do understand that since we prohibit copying of CDs and many of you have expressed interest in purchasing copies for co-workers, family, friends, holiday gifts, etc., we will make the CDs available for sale upon request, but supplies may be limited. We print relatively small numbers of CDs at this point and only at certain times of year.

Often, the week after an event, we are inundated with requests for the date of the next Procovery Community-Building Event or for courtesy copies of the CDs or posters, etc. As mentioned above, we really are a small and highly focused organization and while we stand on our head to support our friends in MO, please understand that often we cannot respond to these requests and almost always we are unable to meet them.

Kathleen and your friends at Procovery Institute

P.S. Procovery has a new family member. Our unofficial “mascot” if you will. He is about a year old, weighs less than 10 pounds, was formerly homeless (Dawn saved him!) and his name is SeeMore. More information to follow!!!!!
